How I did it

I don't count calories, I don't measure food, I always eat until I am full. So how did I lose the weight? By following a metabolic diet created by Dr. Pat Poon from Toronto, Ontario. This diet was created to treat and help Type II Diabetics get off of medication and reach a healthy body weight. Anyone can follow it though. I am not a Type II Diabetic. I did have high blood pressure and I was on 2 medications to control it. The diet focuses more on quality vs. quantity of food. It's high protein, low carb, low sugar. I have had to give up all the things I thought I couldn't live without(ie: processed carbs, refined sugar). I surprised myself at how much I could give up if I really wanted to get healthy. You don't need to live in or around Toronto to be successful on this diet, you just have to want to make a lifestyle change for life.
